something to remember
Let’s consider that we are “Rabbi’s in training.”
As we begin working through the ideas and promises of Christianity, let’s keep something in mind: When a young student in ancien Israel was being considered for apprenticeship under a rabbi, it was not how well the student could answer the text but rather how well they asked and formulated questions.
We don’t have to pretend we have the answers to everything! Instead, let’s remember that God is becoming the answer – God is redeeming our feeble answers – and let’s ask questions accordingly, aiming to understand God’s response, not our own.
